It looks like a large mitten.
One coat of white chalky paint and then a coat or red.

it's lovely cotton strands.
That's what I used here to create a handle.
I like to fray the ends. I crisscrossed the cotton strands and glued with a hot glue gun. Then each end gets glue to the side of the mitten.
Next ,I tucked a few festive picks
from the Dollar Tree.
To complete the project, I added a little sign
on a stick and tucked it inside.
This could be done with new oven mitts from the dollar store . Actually , I can see a string of these in place of stockings along the mantle.
