Travel to the Outback- Outback Springs RV Park NW Florida #outbackspringsrvresort

Ok so we didn't travel to the Australian Outback, but we did go  camping at Outback Springs RV Park in Bonifay, Florida off interstate 10 in NW Florida.

Every year we rent out our condo on Okaloosa Island  during the high season and hit the road in our camper to see new sites.

Owners Julie and Peter take much pride in their property and it shows so well as you stroll along the grounds. Here is their beautifully appointed check in / lounge area. It has some comfy seating and TV's and you'll find food to feed the Koi fish, that are in the pond just outside. The pond is really the center of the property and it's fed by a real Spring. Living at the pond are a couple of  Indian Runner ducks, who tend to walk upright and you'll see them waddling about together at all times of the day.

Here's a map of the grounds .

And if you have creaky bones you''ll enjoy the Jacuzzi.

Have your own campfire
or

And a perfectly designed and kept putting green to keep everyone happy!!!

Here's our little set up. We call her Coastal Bohemian.

One of the nicest and cleanest laundry facilities I have ever come across.

And there is a second mini laundry station halfway around the park from the first station.

Can't do laundry all day? Check out the meeting room. It's a gathering hall with plenty of seating and tables. Watch TV, read a book or play games with the friends.

Outside is very welcoming surrounded by trees and flowers and lots of available seating.

Inside the spray foam insulation makes the whole thing look like a cozy little cavern.
Pop inside in the morning for a freshly brewed cup of coffee too.
Just a small, board, walk , next door,  is the entry to the pool, Jacuzzi  restrooms and showers. BTW, the restroom shower station is fully air conditioned.

I made this DISCOVER sign a while ago and found the perfect spot at our campsite.
In the mood to discover more of the area, we found Falling Waters  State Park just down the road a bit.

This area of Florida is famous for natural springs and we went to 2 of them . Morrisey Springs was not exactly as blue or anywhere near as blue as we expected, but Ponce de Leon Springs was really very pretty. The water temperature remains at 68 degrees year round and produces 14 million gallons of water daily. Amazing. I just think there must be some excellent minerals coming up from that ground and I soaked them up. Spa day. This time Jason saw fish hiding over behind the trees.

We've been here before and these are a few pics.

We love to discover farm fresh fruit and Bonifay did not disappoint. We found Tison Blueberry Farm in town. We were so excited we made blueberry pancakes for dinner. It was one of  highlights of our trip. And I picked up some homemade blueberry jam.

Now a few more things to note about Outback Springs Resort. All new electric at the sites with an outdoor light to guide you back home at night.

A bridge to the other side of the park.
