Grilled Peaches with Peanuts, Sage and Gorgonzola

Ingredients
 2  Peaches Halved, pits removed
5 Fresh Sage Leaves , chopped
1 cup Peanuts
3 Tbl Gorgonzola Cheese, in a bowl
1 tsp butter
2 Tbl Olive Oil

Grill the peaches. I used a cast iron flat top . I got it very hot , added 1 tbl olive oil and added the peaches flesh side down. Cook until the peaches get a little color. (One minute or so.) Remove from heat.

In a small frying pan heat olive oil and then add butter. This is done on a medium to low heat.
Toss the peanuts and get them nice and coated and heated through. Add the chopped sage leaves. Allow the sage leaves to get crispy and remove from the heat.

Fold the peanut mix into the gorgonzola. The cheese gets melty and coats the peanut mix.
Lay out the peaches and fill with peanut sage mix.

This recipe came about because I was searching for a way to use up my abundance of sage. I'm new to growing sage in my garden and new to using it fresh. I'm also new to using it outside of the fall season.

This is my twist on grilled peaches based on items in my pantry and seeing a flavor pairing of peanuts and sage. I could see the flavors being successful, so I went for it.

It was perfect with a glass of Malbec.

Enjoy

With love and gratitude
