Faux Homemade Paper

I had to try this faux handmade paper technique once I saw Noir Art 's video

Supplies: Printer Paper
Variety of Dried Natural Products e.g.                        lavender, seeds, spices,  flower petals,                        sphagnum moss etc.
White Glue, Mod Podge or an Acrylic                          Medium
2 -3 ply decorative napkin or tissue paper
              Paint brush
              Watercolors

I started with a blank piece of printer paper.

Add a thick layer of glue. And then add some dried naturals .

I had a sprig of pressed and dried cedar branch, Spanish or sphagnum moss and some Lavender.

Next you'll need to work quickly before the glue dries and place a piece of tissue paper or 1 of the plys from a decorative napkin.

Get it good and pressed into the glue and then add more glue to the top making it seep through to the bottom paper. This will give your dried pieces  a nice seal when dried.

Allow to dry and trim excess paper napkin. Admittedly, I couldn't wait and used a hair dryer to speed up the process.

 Add a little watercolor.

So pretty. Now what will we do with them? Book covers? Stay tuned.

With love and gratitude,

Michele
