Why Make a Vision Board?
2017 just started and you probably have a list of what you would like to accomplish whether it be more exercise, eating right, grow your business or a whole host of other things. How’s it going? Have you written them down so you can visualize them and act upon them?
One way to visualize what you want out of life is a Vision Board. According to the Huffington Post, there is science behind why these work. “Creating a sacred space that displays what you want actually does bring it to life. What we focus on expands. When you create a vision board and place it in a space where you see it often, you essentially end up doing short visualization exercises throughout the day.”
This has to do with the law of attraction and putting your needs out to the universe, which is the basis of the bestselling book, “The Secret“.
So how do you get started? You can do it yourself with help from Pinterest, find a class or grab some friends and all work on them together. All you need are loads of magazines, a pair of scissors, tape and a board.
I have put out my vision board to share with you all. I started it with friends in a class at Coastal Bohemian and then finished it the following night with a bunch of new and old girlfriends at the Be Well Meals and Juice Bar. The first night it was personal about wanting to travel, lose a few pounds and begin yoga. The next night it was all about growing my business.
