Mixed Media Angel ATC's

Make believe I'm showing you a beautifully designed piece of textural watercolor paper that I created using watercolors and stamps and a soft dry brush of pearl paint. Additionally, I flecked copper and silver paint. Just ignore the cuts in the paper. You don't see that.

So here's what happened. I had an idea , I ran with it and I forgot to take pics. If you know me you know this is one of my problems.

I created this paper in order to make my Christmas ATC"s aka Artist Trading Cards.

Next I cut the paper to ATC size which is 2.5" x 3.5"

I found these sweet angels at the Graphicsfairy.com.
To me he was announcing something and what better to announce than "Joy to the World."
I fussy cut the image and glued to my card.
Next, I used a red pastel and colored around the edges and used my finger to blend it along all the edges to create a vignette.

I used a permanent ink pen to write the Joy to the World message.

These feel very ChristmasY to me. Shimmering, red, angels, and Joy , yep Christmas.
Have a Happy Holiday friends. Thanks for stopping by to read along.

With love and gratitude,

Michele
