September Artist Trading Card Swap- Learn, Mail and Swap

Here are the details for the September 16th Artist Trading Card Swap

Send three artist trading cards to Coastal Bohemian and receive three different artist trading cards back in the mail.
1. Make 3 artist trading cards with a Fall Garden theme.
2. On the back include your name, email and date and signature.
3. Mail the 3 cards along with a self addressed stamped envelope to Coastal Bohemian 4811 Hwy 17 Bypass , Suite 4, Myrtle Beach , SC 29577
Mail in enough time to be received at the studio by Sept 16th.

4. We'll swap the cards and mail them back out. You'll receive three cards from people around the world.

Within a few days we will have your cards swapped for 3 other cards and sent back out to you.


Only cards that are received by Sept 16th , 2019 will be included in the swap. The time of the event is actually irrelevant as shown above.It just to show the deadline of Sept 16th , 2019

Roasted Pesto Tomatoes

Tomato season is in full swing. Oh my god, I am a tomato fanatic. 

Here's a recipe that hearkens back to my phase 1 South Beach Diet days. It's a great addition to any meal and perfect if you have a vegetarian in the family. It's also a yummy late night snack. I know I'm weird but I eat cold pizza too.

Pesto recipe
1/2 cup of pignoli nuts
( light roasted to release the oils)
1/4 cup olive oil
2 hands full basil leaves-fresh
3 tbl parsley -fresh
3 tbl parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic

Everyone goes into the blender or bullet and gets emulsified. You may need to add a few tablespoons of water if the mix gets too dry and sticks to the blender.

You should have a smooth and creamy spread. This can be used as a sandwich spread, added to pasta  or added to potato salad as well used for this roasted tomato recipe. 

Coat the inside a muffin tins with olive oil. 
Place one ,  2 " ish slice of tomato in each muffin cup. using a teaspoon drop and spread 1/2 teaspoon of pesto sauce.

Roast in a 450 oven for 20 min.

Serve hot or chilled. Either way, these little red gems are amazing.

Rental Condo Okaloosa Island , Florida Part 2

So now that I've introduced you to Okaloosa Island in Florida let me show you our rental condo in case you need a little getaway.

We have a one bedroom condominium in the Venus.

It's at the end of the Island and so it's the quieter area of the Island. And we are permitted to use floats at the pool!

The unit is on the second floor.

Queen bed.

New Faux Wood Floor

Here's the walk way to the beach which is just about a 2 minute walk from our unit.

The pool has a soda machine , an ice machine and a place to store bicycles. It also has an air pump for inflating floats and things for the beach and pool.

A Basketball court and lighted tennis courts.

And the sexy white sand.
