Hello Pumpkin Sign Easy

Hello Pumpkins. I've missed you. We have been traveling since June 12th and only just returned home on September 10th.....exhausted.

Even though we plan to start some construction, I needed to create and I also need a little Fall. I've been seeing the saying,                        "Hello Pumpkin "everywhere and it reminds me of my Grandmother calling my children, Pumpkin. It makes me melt a little bit. So, I needed to make a sign. It was easy and most of my crafty readers will be able to make it from scraps and things around the home.

1.First, I painted a scrap 3.5" x 16.5" board with some Black Acrylic. I wanted a dark background.

2. Next I used a variety of fall colors to stencil on a mixed fall background.

3. Don't worry about the stencil images smearing and running because I gave the whole thing a nice sanding down before the next step.
4. Using a brush and acrylic matte medium ,  I adhered some gold flecks  and gave the entire piece a full coat.

It adds a little somethin' somethin'

5. Now I stenciled Hello Pumpkin with white acrylic  paint. For the small font I used a 1 " letter and for the larger font I used a 2" font.

6. In the end, I gave it a more finished look  using a  white Posca paint pen to make a dotted line border. #Poscapaintpen

See , that was easy. So glad to get a little creativity under my belt after all this time. #happytobehomeagain

With love and gratitude,

Michele
