Sand Art Ornaments

My sister took me to Bermuda with her on vacation last August and I smuggled some pink sand back home. I tried  to  make an ornament for Christmas that looked like we had written our names in the sand, HOWEVER, that did not work out.
I know, you're thinking, that's a great idea, right?

I had gotten this far and put them away until I could come up with a way to make something else that I liked. I'm pretty sure it has to do with my commitment to destashing.

Now more than 12 months later I just added a charm and a hook and created these little cuties. (I had the charm, destash)

You'll need some sand , clear glue, a cup and spoon for mixing.

Create a mix that is thick like pancakes . You should be able to pour a small amount onto the silicone sheet that will spread like batter and will easily form a circle.

I added small shells but you can add anything you like.

Use a toothpick to remove bubbles and to add a hole for hanging. Oh you'll have to wait until this is much more set to put the hole for hanging or you can drill a hole like I did.

I can't wait until my sister sees her ornament from the pink sand from our vacation.

Show me some holiday love by leaving a comment below, especially if you have an idea for me to make writing in the sand.

With love and gratitude,

Michele
