Wooden Pepsi Box Display

I'm a fan of wooden boxes, especially vintage wooden boxes. I had picked this one up at a garage sale for $20 a few years back.
I thought it would make a cute specimen display in the spare room.
It holds mini things and beach finds. I just got done doing a detailed washing and dusting of the piece and as I was placing it back together I thought I'd tell you about it and show you a few pics.

 Here's what I've included.
A vintage donkey tooth pick holder .
A clam someone painted for me. It's so silly it makes me smile. A vintage stamp holder and a book mark.
Some funky beach glass.

A cool piece of driftwood. It's actually like petrified wood. It's hard like a rock.
 And seashells and corals.
I keep it on the bedside table.

Thanks for indulging this vintage heart and letting me go on about my little bits and my specimen display. Maybe you'll be inspired to create a bitty specimen display too.

With love and gratitude,

Michele

  1. Hi,
I've got an old Pepsi crate in my basement that I've been holding onto for years. My grandpa worked at the Pepsi plant and as a delivery driver for 29 years through the fifties, sixties, and seventies. They called him Pepsi Joe. I'll have to pull out that old crate, clean it up, and put something in it. Thanks for sharing your idea.

  2. Hi Michele! I have one of these crates very similar to yours and love to decorate with it. My husband came home with it one day and said "I thought you would like this" Um, yes please! There are so many ways to use if for every season. :) Thanks so much for sharing!
