Soul Cards 2

This is an update to the Soul Cards class we have been having down at the studio.To fully understand what I am talking about you should check out the intro to Soul Cards post here.

This class is going along very well and I feel it is a successful class. Now, let me step back and explain this more. As an entrepreneur this class is not considered successful. We have 2 students that attend each month and love the class. At this point they wouldn't miss it for the world, but, we only have 2 students. 

On the other hand the class is a 2 hr therapy  session, filled with love and connection, exploration, growth and healing. We excitedly take notes and share insights. It's totally a successful group session.You can't mess with that magic.

Here are the pics from this months' class. The themes were Moon, Adventure, Passion , and Surrender .

 This is Kat's card 

 We combine paint, stamping, images from magazines and quotes to make an expressive mixed media representation of each of the themes. 
 The class is run by me or the mixed media goddess Kat, who is also one of the teachers at Coastal Bohemian.
Each month, I provide the themes and coordinating discusssion. The discussion really is word association, definitions, quotes and feelings and saying around the word. 
Here's an example of my "Moon"notes.

 Moon -Evening, Night, Light in the darkness, phases of the moon, guided by the moon, dark side of the moon, responsible for the changing tides, Man in the moon(Elusive?)Moonlight, moonshine. Glows, the natural satellite of the earth, visible (chiefly at night) by reflected light from the sun. Moon child .Reflect upon, I feel .

The Moon is the card of intuition, dreams and the unconscious. The Moon provides light as a reflection of the Sun, yet this light is dim, uncertain, and only vaguely illuminates our path as we journey toward higher consciousness

Some of this is taken from online descriptions and explanations and some is very simply,  my basic thoughts and use of the word. From there we are always able to have very meaningful conversations about the theme. This helps us get our own personal thoughts in order so we can build these beautiful Soul Cards.
