We visited the actual Boone Docks.
We found a small town off I95 in Georgia named Darien. Billboards showed big commercial shrimp boats and so we took a ride over to find them..
As we pulled into town we saw a bunch of shrimp boats and followed the road around to find our way in to visit these monsters.
We finally came to Boone Dock Rd and at the end of the rd was Boone dock, Boone Seafood. We found the actual Boone docks. I laughed so hard.
Just a silly little thing I wanted to put out there to make you laugh.

Shabby Chic Ladder Back Chair
I'm addicted to furniture, especially with the potential for a new design.
I found this solid oak ladder back chair. How could I pass it up?
I used a sea glass blue chalk paint and then I applied a few water slide decal prints in a french typography style from a great site for free graphics, thegraphicsfairy.com
The seat is woven with burlap and linen along with some blue ,grey and brown plaid fabric that I tied at alternating sides. The combination is darling and I'm not sure how I will part with this piece.
Thanks for stopping in to see what I have been working on this week.

Lovingly Reimagined Butterfly Shelves
Set of two shelves sparkle with a loving dose of reimagining.
For me, the creative process involves quite a bit of dramatic pause. By this I mean, I start something and then it can be some time before I get to the finished product. Projects in various stages of development pile up around me and then I know it's time to finish up and get things out to the shop for sale.
These shelves were a plain flat white and they were screaming to be reinvented , reloved ...reimagined.
When I get like this I sit around and pour over the internet for some inspiration . Often times just the concept of someone elses project can inspire some spark in me to get back into finishing projects.
(I originally thought this was going to be covered in seashells.)
Over the weekend ,I did some marathon youtubing. Is that like googling?
Among the many I watched

+Upcyclingwithdecoupage made me in the mood to create this piece.
Big thanks to Patti Elhoff for contuniung to create and inspire. Just what I needed.
Hope you enjoy these shelves. See more about Coastal Bohemian at Facebook and Pinterest.

Coastal Carrots -Cherry Pistachio Roasted Carrots
It's the perfect time to send out our new roasted carrot recipe.
Cherry Pistachio Roasted Carrots
Bunch of carrots peeled, washed ,cleaned and dried
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup unsalted shelled pistachios
(We love the ones from Trader Joe's)
1/4 cup dried cherries
salt and pepper
Set the oven to 450 degrees . Lay your carrots in a baking sheet , drizzle with olive oil, roll the carrots around to coat with oil, add salt and pepper to season and roast for 15-20 minutes.Shake the pan around a bit half way to turn the carrots. When golden brown, sprinkle the nuts and cherries onto the carrots and let them warm and roast for 1-2 minutes . Done .
Try substituting pistachio oil for the olive oil for a different taste.
These are also great leftover and cold. Perfect spring dish.
Hope you try this simple recipe and love it as much as we do.
Happy Holidays to all.

Floating Plastic Bottle Island is a real Coastal Bohemian
I love when he pulls the island in to him like he was pulling a boat over to jump inside.
I hope you enjoy.
